TBH: Task Bar Hero Knight build
Updated 2026-06-02 · based on v1.00.06 · 6 min read
Quick Answer
The Knight is the best free class and the easiest beginner pick. Build him as a pure tank — Health Boost first, then Armor Boost from level 10 — to hold the front line, or splash Attack Damage for a hybrid. He anchors every top team.
About the Knight
The Knight is a free base class and arguably the best all-rounder in the game: good damage, real defensive staying power, and enough build freedom to fit any squad. His job is to soak hits and hold aggro so your damage dealers and Priest survive, which is exactly what carries you through the late Acts.
Skill priority
- Put your first eight points into Health Boost to pad his survivability.
- Then spend one point on his active skill and one on Attack Damage.
- From level 10 onward, prioritise Armor Boost.
- Go full-tank if your DPS needs a wall, or hybrid (more Attack Damage) if you want him chipping in damage too.
Stat priority
| Stat | Why |
|---|---|
| Armor | His primary defensive layer — the more the better. |
| HP | Raw survivability so he outlasts incoming waves. |
| Damage Reduction | Stacks multiplicatively with armour to keep him standing. |
| HP Regeneration | Becomes essential to survive Act 3 and beyond. |
| Attack Damage | Optional — only for a hybrid damage-tank build. |
Cube & gear
Socket defensive materials (armour, HP, damage reduction) into his Blue+ gear. The Knight is the safest hero to invest sockets into because he isn’t going to die — and remember to strip sockets before listing any piece on the Steam Market. Full Hero-dric Cube guide →
Best teams
The Knight is the front-liner in both meta comps: Knight + Hunter + Priest (best overall) and Knight + Sorcerer + Priest (best free-to-play). You almost always want him in slot one. See the full tier list →
Mistakes to avoid
- Building him pure damage — his value is surviving and holding aggro.
- Skipping Armor Boost after level 10.
- Neglecting HP Regeneration before Act 3, where incoming damage spikes.
